We asked our readers to provide their best Dublin Bus stories, for a chance to win the ultimate day out in Dublin. Check out story #3 here from Adeline Gelineau
"My favourite moment with Dublin Bus was a few years ago. My iPod dropped on the floor as my friend and I rushed downstairs so we wouldn't miss our stop. It was on the Route 43 from Swords back to Dublin. When I got home, I realised that I lost my iPod and was almost sure it fell on the street.
"No chance of getting it back!
"Months and months went by until one day, my friend phoned me and said 'come quick, I have your iPod!' I ran over to her and there it was, my green iPod. I couldn't believe my eyes.
"She said that a young man had approached her on the bus (Route 43 again). He asked her if one of her friends lost an iPod a couple of months ago. She said yes, he asked her to confirm the colour of it and other details about it that I now forget.
"When she did, he gave her the iPod and said that he had grabbed it when I dropped it in order to give it back to me next time I was on the bus, but it turns out we were using the same route everyday but at different times.
"So when my friend was late and missed her bus, she was on the same bus as this young man. He told her that he had kept my iPod in his jacket until he found me. He didn't find me, but he did find my friend.
"I got his phone number to thank him (and I did) but we never met in real life. I don't know who this person is, but he is the best and I wish him a lifetime of happiness!"
