Protesters have targeted Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe’s home as part of their latest demonstration.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Health Minister Simon Harris and Minister for Communications, Richard Bruton, have also all been targeted in recent weeks in a campaign aimed at ‘bringing it to their door’.
Paschal Donohoe was not at his Drumcondra home at the time as he was attending the launch of the Future Jobs Ireland strategy in the CHQ Building, though he left the event early when he was told about the incident by Gardaí.
Protesters have now reportedly left the area peacefully and Gardaí are said to be aware of the incident and are investigating.
Simon Harris recently criticised the protesters who “trapped” him inside his family home last month.
Speaking to Brendan O’Connor on RTÉ Radio 1’s Marian Finucane Show, he said, “This was not a protest, this was a clear attempt to intimidate me and my neighbours. I think it was intimidation and thuggery. It felt like a violation, it was a violation."
