Dublin Fire Brigade have been dealing with gorse fires in the Dublin mountains as the country faces unusually warm winter weather this week.
They shared a number of photos on the official Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account, which is an incredibly unusual sight to see outside of the summer months.
They wrote, ‘Three fire engines are dealing with gorse fires off the Old Military Road in the Dublin Mountains.
‘Dry weather means dry vegetation.’

Earlier today, Met Éireann revealed which places saw the highest temperatures yesterday and parts of the country saw highs of more than 17C.
Coming out on top was Mount Dillon in Co. Roscommon where it reached a balmy 17.3C. This was followed by Claremorris in Co. Mayo (16.5C) and Gurteen in Co. Tipperary (16.3C).
Meanwhile, temperatures in Wales reached as high as 20.6C yesterday, the hottest ever recorded by the Met Office in winter.
