It's a fairly awful morning out there and the bad news is that it's not going to pick up any time soon.
The better news is that it looks like it's going to snow!
A status yellow weather warning is in place for Donegal, Mayo and Sligo until 9pm tonight, with prolonged rain expected.
The showers will gradually turn more wintry during the day with hail and sleet in places and temperatures between five to nine degrees.
Met Éireann has said that it will be cold and frosty overnight with snow showers expected, with these mainly on higher ground.
Don't forget to turn on the electric blanket, as temperatures are set to drop to 0 degrees Celsius.
