A female cyclist in her 20 and a female driver in her 30s were both taken to hospital on Monday following a collision on the South Circular Road In Kilmainham.
The cyclist was struck by the vehicle in South Dublin shortly after 3:30pm on Monday outside a Four Star Pizza Take Away.
Two units from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of the accident along with paramedics and a Garda car.
In a statement, Gardaí said that: "We are investigating a collision involving a car and a cyclist on South Circular Road at 3.25pm on 19th.
"A female cyclist in her 20s was taken to St James Hospital with leg injuries. The driver of the car a woman in her 30s was also taken to hospital with minor injuries."
