If you're a fan of zombie shows like The Walking Dead, you probably think you'd be a dab hand at ruling the roost if zombies took over the city.
But where would be the best place in Dublin to survive the inevitable zombie apocalypse? Read on to discover some quality hiding places across the city...
So secret no-one even knows how to get into them, so if you manage to find them you're guaranteed safety if you can get in.
Might not be well protected, but it sounds pretty bad ass.
Very few entrance points, shelter, and beautiful views (it's the little things!). If you go hungry, there are also lots of stray cats that live in here.
Canned goods are the currency in the land of the living undead, so skip the local shopping centre that everyone will hit and go direct to the source.
Unorthodox location, but once you steer clear of the more exotic creatures (lions, tigers & bears!), then there's lots of shelter, islands, and segregated areas to keep you safe. Plus one major bonus; fresh food to beat the band!
Located on Bull Island, there's only one bridge to gain access, and plenty of flatland so you can watch out for any uninvited visitors.
It's a castle; they were literally built to defend! It's also far enough out of the city that you're not going to be dealing with constant hoards of zombies, but enough homes nearby to go on supply runs.
Anyone unfortunate enough to see Warm Bodies will know that airports, although prone to being infested with people, also have a range of useful places to set up camp. And the food couldn't get any worse than it already is.
Only one way in, and unlimited stout; say no more.
Made for solitary survival, should be fully equipped. Either get there first, or forget about it. It's unlikely the person who arrives first will give it up without a fight.
Fans of The Walking Dead will know that once made secure, a prison can make a pretty nice home for the zombie apocalypse.
The food possibilities are almost endless, but you might have to fight it out with other survivors.
Hopefully there'll be a few first class carriages lying around so you can have a comfy snooze while you hide.

No better place to fight it out, and if you go out in a blaze of glory, at least you'll get a train station named after you.

Night Of The Living Dead fans: look away now. I'm a believer that only the recently deceased reanimate, so Glasnevin is as good a place as any. Plenty of secure tombs to lock yourself up in, and if you survive it then you'll have a great story.
The little hill in Merrion Square is actually an underground bunker, and it's connected through a network of tunnels! Unfortunately though, we have no idea how to get into it...
According to blogger Jason O'Mahony, there's a car park and shopping centre that is literally purpose built for "the event of major civil unrest", and even has a vacant tower, as requested by the Department of Justice. You might call it a conspiracy theory, but if we see a zombie while Jason is nearby, we're following him!
This place has safety deposit boxes that would easily fit an entire human. May not be comfortable, but you won't get much more secure.
Originally used to keep the dead in, I'm sure it'll be even better at keeping the dead out.
They're bigger than you might realise, so grab a tent and get hiking.
If Shaun Of The Dead taught us anything, it's that British publicans keep guns behind the bar. So the safest bet is to go to the pub, have a pint, and wait for this whole thing to blow over.
The one in Howth was built to repel an invasion by Napoleon, plus the coastline provides plenty of fishing options if you run short on supplies.
As Brendan Gleeson showed us in 28 Days Later, a block of flats can operate pretty securely as an anti-zombie fortress, and the balconies provide pretty good vantage points.
Massive sturdy gates, and loads of posh houses nearby that definitely have endless supplies of fancy foods!
You can make your way up and down the canal searching for supplies without much threat from zombies, but you'll definitely be a target for other survivors.
